Introduction of panelist: Dr. Mayuri Keskar, MLH & TC4A welcomed all the panelists and ICS Maharashtra and ICS UP. Then Dr Sanjeev Mehta (Moderator) introduced both the speakers, he then briefed the participants with structure of the webinar, and general instructions. Then Dr Sanjeev thanked Mylan pharmaceuticals for supporting the webinar

What was covered:

Similarities between COVID-19 and tuberculosis and the clinical diagnosis of case, by Dr Surya Kant: Dr Surya Kant started the session by discussing the TB scenario in 2018-2020. He then explained about the burden of TB in India. Dr Surya Kant continued the session by explaining about the symptoms of COVID-19 and TB. He briefly explained about the similarities & differences between COVID-19 and TB. The lab test indicated for COVID-19 and TB patient and the different algorithms for treating COVID, SARI, TB patients

Managing TB and COVID cases by Dr Radha Munje: Dr Radha Munje was 2nd speaker and she explained about treating and managing COVID-19 and TB patients. She discussed in detail about the different drugs. She explained about the algorithms of treating TB, COVID patients and then she shared a few case presentations of TB & COVID and what should be the mode of treatment in each case.

Panel discussion with Q&A session: After the speaker’s session, panel discussion started followed by Q&A session. Dr Sanjeev moderated the session; the panel shared their experiences answering the questions and answers.

Vote of thanks and Poll: At the end of the webinar Dr Mayuri raised the poll questions for attendees and shared vote of thanks with ICS Maharashtra and ICS UP to provide the opportunity to cohost the webinar with them.
