This course is a production of a recent live webinar held on 7th May 2021 by KPNC intended for clinicians and other healthcare providers in Kenya regarding the care of the paediatric patient during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The course objectives include:
1. Serving as an educational aid and reference material for clinicians as well as other healthcare workers on the role of frontline healthcare providers both at community and facility-based health care services in the pandemic context, and outlines the adaptations needed to keep people safe, maintain continuity of essential services and ensure an effective response to Covid-19.
2. Disseminate information and knowledge to health care workers on understanding the importance of supporting caregivers and families in making decisions on appropriate and timely care-seeking, adhering to public health advice, and limiting direct and indirect mortality.
The course includes recorded videos in lecture style, videos of practical skills.
