This course is a production of a recent live webinar held on 6th August 2020 by KCS which is the eleventh series of COVID-19 related webinars intended for clinicians and other healthcare providers in Kenya and the region handling cardiovascular patients within the context of the pandemic.
The course objectives include:
1. Serving as an educational aid and reference material for clinicians as well as other healthcare workers by having a discussion on women in cardiology, opportunities, and challenges.
2. Disseminate information and knowledge to health care workers on relevant issues related to local perspectives of women and cardiology, the findings from a cross-sectional survey, navigating the field of cardiology as a woman from training to practice, local training in cardiology challenges and why has it taken so long, as well as women in cardiology-African Perspectives amongst others.
The course includes recorded videos in lecture style, videos of practical skills.
