On the occasion  of World TB Day, Tech Care for All organized an International two days virtual conference on “Clinical Updates & Innovation in Tuberculosis for 2022” that brought together clinicians, innovators, public health specialists and clinical scientists advocates to share the latest and most important developments in the TB field for 2022

With 5  thematic tracks, the conference covered a broad range of significantly relevant topics in diagnosis and clinical management,  MDR/XDR TB, co-infections, global Innovations, TB research, AI (artificial intelligence) and TB, and use of POC in TB diagnosis. 

The conference was divided into two days.

Day 1: Dr Diagambar Behera started the session with an inaugural speech on, “India’s commitment to stop TB by 2025 and how we are progressing to achieve it. Then the event started with scientific tracks. Track 1 covered   TB and MDR. / XDR. TB overview, diagnosis, treatment and management,  mechanisms and diagnostics & clinical management. Scientific track 2 covered extrapulmonary TB, comorbidities and population at risk,  challenges in diagnosis and treatment of EPTB, TB & COVID. After the speakers session the event continued with panel discussion, where several topics related to TB like Public and private sector for Treatment of TB; TB Programs runed by DTO’s; Increasing incidence of TB and more interesting topics were discussed. 

Day 2: On day 2, Three scientific tracks were covered. National and International speakers participated and addressed on the topics of  global innovations, TB research and point of care devices and public health perspectives. The sessions were very interactive and there were many new learnings on tuberculosis, its impact on the society and healthcare system. The aim to eliminate TB by 2025 will be the greatest opportunity in the healthcare sector.
