Course Overview

EHA is hosting a series of webinars focused on the care of hematology patients during the COVID-19 crisis. Each week, we will be collaborating with renowned hematology professionals, who will be sharing their experiences from various perspectives and addressing key questions.


Webinar Series: Session 03 (SCD/Thalassemia and COVID-19) - Possible Risks and a Proposal for a Patient Pathway During the Pandemic. 

Are patients with thalassemia more susceptible to COVID-19? What is specifically known about Sickle Cell Disease and COVID-19?

This webinar features experts from Italy and Cyprus who share their personal experiences and insights on the management and outcomes of #sicklecelldisease patients and #thalassemia patients, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. TIF also shares a brief overview of their response to the pandemic, and addresses the TIF-proposed #Hemoglobinopathy Patient Pathway during the COVID-19 pandemic.
