Key points of discussion were advancement, automation and digitalization in the field of hematology. Dr Ankur described the ecosystem of hematology which includes staining system, Smear and RAL stainbox.
Module 3: Approaching Anemia | Diagnosis, Causes & Treatment: Dr Rema G, discussed about anaemia approach for diagnosis, treatment like mean corpuscular volume and reticulocyte count. She also discussed various case presentations.
Module 4: An approach to children & adolescent with Bleeding Disorders: Dr. Karthika K V discussed about classification of bleeding disoders like blood vessel defects, Coagulation defects, Platelets defect and bleeding after hemostatic challenges. She talked about ISTH SSC bleeding Assessment tool and approch towards treatment of bleeding disoders
Module 5:  Improvement in the Diagnosis of Hemoglobinopathies: Dr Siddhartha Sharma discussed about Capillary Electrophoresis technology, Brief Overview of Hemoglobinopathies, Advantages of Capillary Electrophoresis for Hemoglobinopathies detection, CE Profiles: - Beta Thalassemias, Alpha Thalassemias, Hemoglobin S, Hemoglobin D, Hemoglobin E, Hemoglobin Lepore& alpha Variants (Hb J Meerut & Hb Q India)
Module 6: Sickle cell anemia: Dr. Hitha Diljith discussed about Sickle cell anemia Pathogenesis, Diagnosis, Clinical Features, Acute complications and management, Chronic complications and management, Hydroxyurea, Blood transfusion, Recent advancesand Patient education for sickle cell anemia
Module 7: Sickle cell anaemia eradication mission 2047: Challenges and indigenous innovative solutions: Prof Dr Nisanth KM Nambison discussed about the Indian scenarios and burden of hemoglobinopathies in India and Effectiveness of Homeopathy as an adjuvant therapy in PVTG (tribes)
Module 8: Beta Thalassemia (Cooley's Anemia): Dr Monisha H talked about Molecular basis, Pathogenesis, Diagnosis, Management, Iron chelation, Endocrine complications, Transplant and Newer therapies of Cooley's Anemia
Module 9: Diagnosis, treatment & management of leukemia in different stages: Dr Manoj Unni discussed about history of leukemia, classification of leukemia, Flowcytometry and the case presentation of leukemia
Module 10: Recent advances in treatment of leukemia & case presentation: Dr N V Ramaswamy discussed Relapsed ALL in India, Rationale for including immunotherapy in ALL regimens, Chemo-resistance, MRD, Treatment-related mortality, Bi-modal incidence, older population and Improvement in response, upfront and salvage for leukemia
Module 11: Hodgkin lymphoma: Diagnosis, treatment & management: Dr Nikhil Krishna Haridas discussed about clinical presentation, Uncommon Presentation, Evaluation, Laboratory studies, Cytogenetics, Risk allocation and management of Hodgkin lymphoma
Module 12: Non-Hodgkin lymphoma: Diagnosis, treatment & management: Dr Rakesh M P discussed Neoplasm of lymphocytes arising from B cell precursors,mature B cells,T cell precursors and mature T cells, DLBCL and FL of Non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
Module 13: Panel Discussion: Dr Chepsy Philip moderated the panel discussion with panelist Dr Rema G, Dr. Karthika K V, Dr Hita Diljith, Dr Manoj Unni, Dr N V Ramaswamy, Dr Nikhil Krishna Haridas, Dr Rakesh M P and Dr Deepak Charles.
