Module 1: (00:00:07-00:09:10)- Introduction: Dr. Mayuri Keskar from Medical Learning Hub (MLH) team introduced and welcomed all the panelists and participants. The poll was raised. The structure of the webinar and the general instructions were shared with the participants. Then Dr. G.M. Malik, President of IMA J&K welcomed the participants and panelists. Then he shared insights on how J&K is dealing with COVID 2nd wave.
Module 2: (00:09:24-00:43:06)- Dr. Masood Tanvir MBBS, MD, Professor and Head of Medicine, Government Medical College, Srinagar shared insights on “Long-term clinical effects of COVID.” Dr. Masood started the session by sharing an introduction on pandemics. Then he continued the session by explaining in detail about the definition, types of COVID, theories, prevalence, risk factors, pathophysiology, pulmonary, CVS, hematologic, neuropsychiatric, renal, endocrine, GI, Skin consequences & its management.
Module 3: (00:43:24-01:21:03)- Dr. Sobia Nisar MBBS, MD, Lecturer, Department of Medicine, Govt Medical College Srinagar, continued the session by explaining “How to prevent and manage the long-term clinical effects of COVID”. She shared detailed insights on commonly reported long COVID symptoms, Long-term sequelae following previous coronavirus epidemics, post-acute COVID-19 syndrome, metabolic risk factors & novel therapeutic management, symptoms, pathophysiology, associated risk factors, and potential treatments involved in long COVID, conditions similar to long COVID with their respective pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical treatments. Dr. Nisar also shared four key questions about long COVID & recommendations for long COVID
