Module 1: Introduction: Dr Shubhi from Medical Learning Hub welcomed all participants and the speaker Dr Abhishek Dudhatra. She introduced Dr. Abhishek Dudhatra. All the general instructions were explained and first poll was raised.
Module 2: Recent advances in treatment of leukemia & Case presentation by Dr Abhishek Dudhatra. Key points of discussion were:

• The different types of Leukemia and its combinations.
• Advances in leukemia management: better understanding of disease biology, accurate risk management and the response assessment etc.
• Investigations required for diagnosis of leukemia are CBC with peripheral smear and microscopic examination of bone marrow.
• After the confirmation of leukemia, the further categorization is immunophenotyping classification which helps to know the type of leukemia in patient. He also explained the other
• utilities of immunophenotyping.
• Genetic alteration: After knowing the type of leukemia, the next test to be done is genetic alteration.
• FAB classification which includes types of maturation, number of blasts etc.
• The recent classification mentions the presence of genetic mutation is more important.
• Measurable residual disease test: different methods and its advantages.
• Treatment phases: three phases for treating the patient.
• Different chemotherapy drugs used for treating leukemia.
• The 1 st case presentation of 22 nd years male patient with complaints of mucosal bleeding, spontaneous ecchymosis for 10 days. No significant past history.
• The 2 nd case presentation of 62 years male with comorbidities of DM, HTN and IHD. High grade fever, fatigue for 2 weeks with HB 7, TLC 19,000 and Plt 21,000, PS 80% blasts.
• The 3 rd case presentation of 19 years male, treated for precursor B cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2017
• The 4 th case presentation of 66 years female with flow cytometry on PB – chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
• The 5 th case presentation of 37 years old male with PS left shift, Basophils 4% and blasts 1%.

In all above cases, Dr. Abhishek discussed the clinical diagnosis, investigations, treatment and management of each case.
Module 3: Q&A:  Several questions were asked during the session which were
all answered by Dr Abhishek Dudhatra.
