Dr. Amit Sharma is a graduate of Government Medical College, Trivandrum. He did is MD (Internal Medicine) from IGMC, Shimla, and DNB Nephrology from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. He has also worked at PGIMER, Chandigarh. He has been associated with Fortis Hospital, Mohali as a consultant nephrologist and transplant physician since 2013. He established the ABO-incompatible kidney transplant program at Fortis Hospital, Mohali. He has many publications in international journals to his credit, especially in the field of transplantation. He has also done an observership at the Division of Nephrology and Dialysis at Medical University Vienna, Austria. He has been awarded by the European Renal Association for his work in ABO-incompatible kidney transplantation.
