Dr. Benson Chuma currently serves in the newly-created role of Managing Director, Africa. Benson will work closely with TC4A Global CEO and Founder Emmanuel Blin as the social impact company doubles down on its investment in the continent with a goal of accelerating the impact of our flagship solution Medical Learning Hub (MLH) across the continent.
Benson previously managed operations in East Africa having led the establishment and roll-out of commercial activities for TC4A in Kenya from 2019. Today, MLH is the leading online medical learning platform in Eastern Africa with more than 30,000 health professionals subscribed.
Benson is an astute serial health entrepreneur with over 12 years’ experience in senior roles and has been involved in design and scale-up of various healthcare businesses. He was instrumental in design and growth of Equity Afia, one of Kenya’s fastest growing franchised health facility networks. He has previously worked with global NGOs such as Abt Associates in a USAID-funded project strengthening health outcomes through private sector participation, and in consulting roles for IFC World Bank, Results for Development (R4D), West African Health Association (WAHO), WHO, Amref, and Grand Challenges Canada (GCC) amongst others. He trained as a Medical Doctor in Kenya and obtained a Masters in Health Economics at the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
