FRCA in 2005 at London and completed Advanced training in Intensive Care Medicine at Birmingham (Queen Elizabeth Hospital). After completion of Critical Care Training, returned to India in the year 2007. Joined Columbia Asia Hospital in the early 2008. Started from the Hebbal branch & subsequently set up the ICU at Yeshwanthpur in the year 2008. Actively involved in setting up the protocols of ICU, training junior doctors, nurses and other staff in the basics of Critical Care, actively participating in all the academic activities of the hospital as well as those within the city (under the banner of ISCCM). Currently serving as Chairperson of ISCCM, Bangalore Branch.
Instrumental in setting up the Retrieval services at Manipal hospital Bangalore(earlier Columbia Asia Hospital), training the doctors & staff in effective and safe retrieval of sick patients.
Actively involved in audits within the department and examiner for IDCCM & DrNB. Key areas of interest are ventilatory strategies in ARDS patients and minimising hospital acquired infections.
