Dr Varsha Rai (MBBS MS) is very committed and dynamic person holding the responsibility of State TB Officer of Madhya Pradesh since last 03 years. With her farsighted vision, knowledge and management skills, the NTEP program in the State of Madhya Pradesh is being led towards the elimination of TB from most of the districts. The holistic approach towards the program involving the Developmental Partners and other stakeholders is commendable and appreciated by the higher authorities and senior official in the State as well as National level. Monitoring and review mechanism applied by Dr Varsha in Program Management is giving proper direction and guidance to all the functionaries under NTEP and other Partners associated in the State. Dr Varsha’s leadership is bringing all the efforts together towards the achievement of the goal with in the stipulated time.
During her tenure, many innovations have been introduced in the State. PPSA is introduced in all the 52 districts. Madhya Pradesh is the first State to introduced E-Pharmacy. MP has covered all the blocks under every district with molecular testing facility.
Dr Varsha Rai has completed almost 23 years of service in her medical career. Previously, she has served the district of Tikkamgarh as CMHO for almost 03 years and addressed most of the health issues prevailed in the district. Prior to this responsibility, Dr Rai served the State as Class 1 Surgical Specialist for many years.
