Rajasthan State has around 18 medical colleges and 10 dental colleges. Around 50,000 doctors are registered under Medical council of Rajasthan doctors are MCH in branch of cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, oncology, and DM in neurology, cardiology, gastroenterology, endocrinology are members of IMA Rajasthan branch.
IMA is the largest professional doctors association and one of the biggest NGO in our country, looking after the Skill preparedness & welfare of the doctors of modern scientific medicine and health of the common man at large. IMA was launched as a voluntary organization in 1928 and registered Under Societies Act, 1860 XXI No.325/1934 and gradually it evolutes as academic body of medicine, nodal welfare organization not only for its members but to entire community.
IMA-Rajasthan, is the Rajasthan state branch of the Indian Medical Association. IMA-Rajasthan has 76 branches and serves the state with about 11,000 member medical doctors who are practicing as general physicians, surgeons, hematologists, pathologists, radiologist, anaesthetist, ophthalmologist, pediatrician, orthopedician, otolaryngolist, dermatologist, gynaecologist, cardiologist and other specialties
The main objective of IMA-Rajasthan is to promote and advance the medical and allied sciences in all their branches and to promote improvement of public health and medical education in the state of Rajasthan. IMA Rajasthan strives to maintain the interest, honor and dignity of the medical professional, promote solidarity amongst its members and to work for uniformity in basic medical education, medical research and medical services. 
IMA Rajasthan branch is keenly working to update its members with the latest advancement in the field of medical and allied subjects.
