S.T.A.R. – Stewardship Training for Antibiotic Resistance
The AMR Resource Centre is focused on educating healthcare professionals to combat the urgent global challenge of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR). AMR, driven by the misuse and over-prescription of antibiotics, leads to drug-resistant infections that threaten patient safety and create significant economic strains on healthcare systems.
Through our specialized Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs, we empower clinicians with the knowledge and tools to manage infections effectively, with a focus on early detection and responsible antibiotic use. Our resources emphasize preventing conditions like Acute Rheumatic Fever (ARF) and Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD), both of which can develop when infections such as Group A Streptococcus (GAS) are inadequately treated.
