Dr. Rajul S. Parikh is an esteemed glaucoma specialist with a notable career spanning over two decades. He is the Director of Shreeji Eye Institute & Research Centre and Palak's Glaucoma Care Centre, where he focuses on advanced glaucoma treatment and research.

Dr. Parikh serves as the Society Editor for the International Glaucoma Review since 2018 and is a member of the Education Committee of the World Glaucoma Association, contributing to global education and awareness efforts in glaucoma.

He has held significant editorial and organizational roles, including Chief Editor for the Glaucoma Society of India’s (GSI) first edition of guidelines, and was the GSI Treasurer in 2005-06 and West Zone Representative in 2011-12. Additionally, Dr. Parikh served as an Associate Advisory Board Member for the World Glaucoma Association (2005-2018) and as Section Editor for the Indian Journal of Ophthalmology from 2007 to 2013.

Dr. Parikh has been recognized extensively for his contributions to glaucoma management and research.

His awards include the "FDC Award" from the Maharashtra Ophthalmological Society for his research on glaucoma pharmacotherapeutics, and the I. Bell Pharma Award for innovations in glaucoma surgery.

In 2024, he was honored with the "Late Prof. E Ahmed Memorial Oration Award" by the Association of Community Ophthalmologists of India and the National & "International Hero of MOS Award during MOSCON 2024". These accolades highlight his impact on both national and international levels.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Parikh gained invaluable experience as an invited guest researcher at Lund University, Sweden, and as a consultant at LV Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad. His academic contributions include 58 publications in peer-reviewed journals and contributions to 17 book chapters, including the World Glaucoma Association consensus books.

Dr. Parikh has also been involved in organizing efforts, serving as the Joint Organizing Secretary of the Annual GSI Conference in 2011. His ongoing commitment to advancing glaucoma care and his contributions to the field’s knowledge base make him a respected leader in ophthalmology.
